Noemí Santana

Noemí Santana is a student of Melanie Chong from who she has received transmission as a Reiki Master. She is a Zen meditation instructor and conducts Council Circles. Noemi offers workshops in Creative Expression and in Reiki Healing. She is a Dharma Holder in the Zen Peacemaker Order (ZPO) and her Dharma name is Ko-Ji (holder of the light). Noemi is also a member of Peacemaker International, a non-sectarian organization that organizes pilgrimages to areas that have been ravaged by genocide and whose aim is to raise awareness about this plight and foster healing where it has occurred. She received a certificate for the successful completion of the Bearing Witness Training Program from the founder of the ZPO, Roshi Bernie Glassman.

Noemí received Jukai from Jishu/Bernie Roshis, ZPO, in June 1998. She received Dharma transmission from Sensei Sheila Jinen Hixon in November 2015, within the Zen Peacemaker Order and was conferred the title of Buddha seat holder by Roshi Bernie. She participated in a vision quest in the high desert of New Mexico under the guidance of Roshi Joan Halifax and also traveled with Roshi Halifax on a month-long pilgrimage to Tibet. Noemi’s training in Council Circles includes a weekend course with Jack Zimmerman from the Center for Council, The Ojai Foundation; and a full program over a 2-year period in Auschwitz Bierkenau and New York City, with Jared Seide (current director of the Center for Council) and Roshi Glassman. She also studied Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction meditation with Jon Aaron.

Noemi Santana is also a highly-experienced business and marketing consultant working in the fields of health, social services, and education.

Melanie Chong

Melanie Chong is the founder and director of the Center for the Inner Journey (CFIJ) which began in 1991 with meditation groups, Reiki trainings and healing groups.  She has had a long and expansive training in Reiki (see lineage below) and has conducted many group classes through the years

By 2000, Melanie had expanded the scope of CFIJ to include outreach programs to women in shelters and work in the HIV community.  Much of this was accomplished on a volunteer basis.  Many of the volunteers who joined her in these programs were already involved in health care professions and found the personal growth work and trainings in the Reiki method of healing of great benefit to self and in their work with others.

In 2002, Melanie began to focus on the development of a body of inner work called Method of the Wheel © (MoW); (a tool to assist individuals in adjusting life’s course) and by 2004 she brought this methodology to the forefront of her work with individuals and groups.  Motivated by the successful response, she started a facilitator training program for those interested in understanding the inner workings of the methodology and for those who saw the benefits of adding it as a tool in their professional work.

Melanie has a successful practice working with individuals and groups in personal growth and spiritual development, bringing her rich background and experience in Reiki, The Method of the Wheel and other practices.

Elizabeth Rodriguez, DNM

Elizabeth Rodriguez has a doctorate in Natural Medicine. She works as a nurse and as a holistic provider. She is the creator of the Healing Oasis Institute. Her services range from Reiki treatments, integrative therapeutic massage, Myofascial release therapy, Hypnosis, Touch for Health, and Emotional Freedom technique. Elizabeth is a Reiki Master and teaches Reiki classes for those who seek to integrate healing into their lives and work.  She listens to your concerns, gets a history, and works with you on a plan of care to address your needs.
